Wholesaler Stena Stål lowers some flat prices

Tuesday, 12 July 2011

Swedish steel wholesaler, Stena Stål, has revised its prices for a number of products effective 11 July, Steel Business Briefing learns from the its latest price list.

The company reduced its hot rolled coil price SEK1,000/tonne (€109/t, $153/t), and cut its hollow sections prices between SEK700/t and SEK850/t. Certain plate grades were reduced by SEK650/t.

Stena Stål's managing director Jan-Erik Dahlin tells SBB the company adjusted its prices in response to changes from producers.

The move follows Scandinavian distributor Tibnor's decision to revise its price list last week, SBB notes.
